What Cops Know
Casey Anthony Wants to Keep Her Jail Records Private

Casey Anthony doesn’t want the world to know what’s going on behind bars.

At least that’s what her defense team seems to be saying. They’ve asked a Florida judge to seal jail records pertaining to the woman’s pre-trial confinement. She will go on trial for the murder of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, whose body was discovered not too far from her grandparents’ home.

Casey’s defense lawyers say releasing the information would embarrass their client and invade her privacy.

I say defendants already  more rights than victims. The Orlando Sentinel has filed suit to keep Casey’s records in the public domain. As a state, Florida generally falls on the side of open records. I hope that prevails in this case.
