What Cops Know
Jason Jolkowski — Missing Since 2001

Jason Jolkowski is a family type of guy. Despite the fact that he was only 19 in 2001, he didn’t party or stay out late or run with a crowd. Jason is a quiet kid, close to his much younger brother and his parents. And he never caused them a minute’s worry.

Then, on June 13, 2001, Jason was called in to work early. His car was in the shop and he was catching a ride from a coworker who didn’t know where he lived. He told her he would walk part of the way and she could pick him up a few blocks from his Omaha, Nebraska, house. He never made it.

Jason’s parents, family and friends have been looking for him ever since, but have found no sign of the sweet, unassuming young man. His family fears the worst, but hopes for the best.

Jason’s mother, Kelly, decided to become proactive in her search for her son and extended that philosophy to helping others in a similar situation. She founded Project Jason (www.projectjason.org), an innovative site that helps not only spread the word about missing persons, but also offers the families resources to aid them in their journeys.

Visit Project Jason and get to know this remarkable young man and hundreds of other missing persons. They are gone, but they still linger in the hearts of those who love them.
